Abstract

The present study is devoted to plagiarism and the possibilities for its prevention to build and maintain ethical relationships between people engaged in creative activity. A place is being devoted to define this concept in the context of business ethics. A questionnaire was developed and a pilot survey was conducted to determine the level of awareness regarding the forms of plagiarism. Possibilities of how to minimize it through targeted preventive actions are discussed. Special atten- tion is paid to the training process when assigning course assignments and diploma theses to outline the need for a creative approach, expression of personal opinion and expert evaluations generated on the basis of authentic information and the accumulated experience is studied and summarized most often in special section, by citing one of the established methodologies for this. The expected outcome is increased personal awareness of everyone engaged in research activity in order to avoid the incorrect use of published foreign experience.
