Abstract

The paper suggests an approach for data and information integration based on the joint use of standards for integration of information systems, relational databases and Web ontologies. OWL ontologies are generated from the legacy databases. Data and information transformed in RDF are used together into the structure of a meta-ontology. The latter is build in accordance with the models provided by ISO/IEC 62264 standard to control enterprise system integration.
