Abstract

In the present paper are presented the investigations on the possibilities for obtaining higher quality of education in sports. This is a problem of a particular importance, since the human factor is of a great significance for the system of physical education and sports. Because of the broadness of the problem and the fact, that more than 90 % of the people in sports seek to obtain a teacher’s, trainer’s, or a sports management qualification, the stress is put on this problem, although many of these people have a broader scope of possibilities for realization not only in the area of sports. The main part of the regulatory framework that deals with the qualification of these three sports professions are analysed. The possibilities for studying at the specialized higher education institutions in Bulgaria, in particular, the National Sports Academy ‘Vassil Levski’, (bachelor’s, master’s, doctor’s degree courses), as well as in the different forms of continuing education, are discussed.
