Abstract

The need for assessment and self-assessment of students in Chemistry and Environmental Protection at school as a part of quality management systems is discussed in the present article. The electronic tests on Thermochemistry, Catalysis, Chemical equilibrium and Theory of electrolytic dissociation and ion exchange reactions units were conducted via the educational platform Moodle (www.informacia. org) and hereafter the results from the comparative studying of assessment and self-assessment are discussed. In the present study the role of assessment and self-assessment in teaching technology and learning motivation of students are demonstrated. The results indicate more consistent educational activities of the students when they have performed e-tests and an increase in their motivation for learning after electronic self-assessment.
